"We will remember them"

Wreath-laying at the war memorial followed a solemn service of remembrance last Sunday. The earlier driving rain passed in time for the wreath-laying, and autumn sunshine blessed our silent reflections on the fallen of wars and conflicts past and present. The unexpectedly large attendance at both church and war memorial is, perhaps, a sign of the times.
