Our 12th Birthday Party
Post date: May 5, 2010 8:57:40 PM
It was in April 1998 when the 'Little Angels' group was born, just a few mums and toddlers meeting at the back of Church (pre Narthex) for a cup of tea and a chat!
Since then we have gone from strength to strength and now regularly welcome 30 (adults and children) to the monthly meetings. During the year we invite guests to join us and enjoy the visits of children from school who sing to us at Christmas and in June.
The meetings, usually held on the last Tuesday of each month during school term time from 2.15 - 3.15pm, begin with a short, informal 'assembly' introduced by Margaret and Rita, followed by play time for the children whilst the adults enjoy a chat with refreshments served by Hilda and Irene.
The 12th Birthday Party was held on Tuesday, 4th May and the celebrations included songs, pass the parcel, balloons and a birthday cake made by Hilda and drinks prepared by Irene. One little boy announced that he didn't like cake (!!!) but was heard to say "that was delicious" after taking one bite.

We meet again on the 25th May and look forward to seeing all our regular 'Little Angels' and any of their friends.
