CHANGES TO TIMES OF UNITED BENEFICE CHURCH SERVICES

Following discussion between the Venerable Mark Ireland Archdeacon of Blackburn, the Church Wardens of Balderstone St Leonard, Samlesbury St Leonard the Less and Mellor St Mary, and in consultation with the Parochial Church Councils, a revised times of services has been agreed in preparation for the arrival of the new incumbent.

Commencing on Sunday 5^th March the Parish Communion Service will take place as follows:-

Balderstone St Leonard 9.30am

Mellor St Mary 9.30am

Samlesbury St Leonard the Less 11.00am

Please note that the 8.30am Holy Communion Service at Balderstone and 6.30pm Evensong at Mellor will be discontinued from 26^th February.

The Tuesday 9.30am Holy Communion Service at Mellor will

continue as normal.

The priest appointed, Rev’d Charles Jefferson, hopes to take up the post as Vicar of The United Benefice of Balderstone, Mellor & Samlesbury before the end of March.
