Mr Ashton

All of the teachers here at Sunday School would like to wish Mr Ashton a relaxing retirement. Some of us have memories of Frank from when we were small children ourselves, for some of us the friendship is more recent, but we are all so grateful for his constant support of not only us, but the teachers before us. We also pass on the thanks of the children, as nothing was ever a problem, Mr. Ashton always encouraged them to worship in song, and helped them whenever it was needed. Enjoy your retirement, with love from us all.

Mothering Sunday.

What can I say, what a joyful service and I think everyone left with a big smile on their face and a warm heart. The children find the updated service sheets are easy to follow and they participate and enjoy their time in church. Paul's sermon was enjoyed by all and we were amazed that so many children could recognize their own mum's perfume, lots of cuddling must happen in Mellor!

Thank you to all the children who sang, and to Jessica and Emily who played the recorder. These are memories that mums hold forever, so you gave them all an extra present in church without even knowing it.

Lessons

Due to the Easter holidays there is only one Sunday School in April, the 25th, in school. We would love to see you at the Gam service on Easter Sunday, some of the teachers and children will be there.

Enjoy the holidays, May God bless you all at Easter time.

From all at Sunday School

A huge 'thank you' from all the mothers present (and some who weren't) for the bunches of daffodils given by the children on Mothering Sunday.
