Calling People with Artistic Talent

INCLUDING PEOPLE FROM OUR OWN COMMUNITY

As part of our celebrations of the Heritage Lottery Fund grant for the restoration of some of our beautiful historic stained glass windows, we are inviting people from the Ribble Valley and other parts of Lancashire (artists and anyone with an enthusiasm for artistic interpretation of items of historic beauty) to visit our church and produce an artistic interpretation. This can be in whatever artistic way they choose, of one or more of our stained glass windows (or a particular feature within a window).

People will be able to do their work in situ in the church, or alternatively take a photograph and produce their interpretation at leisure in their own home or studio. In the period between 18 May and 23 May 2015 the church will be open between 10.00 am and 4.00 pm on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, and between 6.00 and 9.00 pm on Tuesday and Friday.

It is NOT a competition.

It’s a celebration of the beauty of our stained glass windows.

Why not have a go ? It can even be the work of an anonymous artist !
