Sidespersons

Will everyone willing to continue please sign the nomination form in the narthex. New people will be more than welcome! The admission of all sidespersons will take place during morning service on Sunday 9 June.

Thursday 9 May A joint Ascension Day Service will be held at Samlesbury St Leonard at 7.30 pm.

Friday 10 May FOSMS (Friends of St Mary's School) will be holding a fundraising ceilidh at the Canberra Club, BAE Samlesbury, starting at 7.30 pm. Tickets are £15 per head, including a buffet supper, and can be obtained from Stewart Woodward.

Sunday 19 – Monday 20 May Two special editions of BBC ‘Songs of Praise’ will be recorded at Blackburn Cathedral. Tickets are required to join the congregation and are free, but you will need to move quickly. Further details from the Wardens.

Tuesday 21 May ‘The Churches Together’: St. Leonard’s Mothers’ Union, Balderstone. ‘Cake and Bubbly Evening (and soft drinks)’, in Balderstone School at 7.30 pm. £3: please pay at the door. Speaker: Mr Harold Eastham – ‘Experience in Christchurch New Zealand when the massive earthquake struck’. Ladies and gentlemen all welcome.

Friday 19 July The Annual Village BBQ will be held this year at Myre Ash House by kind permission of Alan & Maureen Bell. More details will follow.
