Funeral of Tommie Cook - 1.30 pm.

Office Hour will be held from 6.00 to 7.00 pm in the Narthex for discussion of arrangements for Baptisms, Weddings or any other spiritual matter.

Tuesday 19 March

Coffee Morning 10 am – 11.30 am

Mothers’ Union 7.30 pm in day school. Talk by Dr. Geraint Jones, Consultant in General Medicine.

Wednesday 20 March

Choir Practice 6.30 pm – 7.30 pm

Lenten Study Course 7.30 pm at the home of Rita Gorman, 10 Church Close.

Foodbank

Monthly expenses are well short of income, so monetary donations are welcome, as well as non-perishable food items. If anyone is able to commit to regular giving of £5 per month, please see Jim or Sue and/or take a form from the collection point.

Social Committee

The Social Committees of Balderstone, Mellor and Samlesbury had the pleasure of working together to arrange the reception which followed the Service of Induction for Amma Sue on Tuesday 12 March. We would like to thank everyone who offered their help, both on the night and with kind offers of food for the buffet. It was a wonderful evening and an excellent buffet. Thank you to everyone!

Three Parish Walk

St Leonard's, Balderstone are arranging a walk from Mellor to Samlesbury via Balderstone on Sunday 24 March starting from the War Memorial at Mellor at 1.30 pm.

‘Meat The Producers’

On Thursday 25th April, Frank Littler & Sons are hosting a dinner at The Millstone, introducing some of their local suppliers. The 4-course dinner is £30 per head, and the Social Committee are hoping to have a table there. If you are interested please speak to Jean or Rita.

Stewardship Envelopes

The envelopes for April onwards are now available in the Narthex. Please collect these as soon as possible. Easter Flowers
