Confirmation 2011

s you already know, our Confirmation Service this year was re-scheduled to the autumn. But to cause the minimum of disruption we’re going to hold the Preparation Classes as near to ‘the usuall time’ as we can.

They’ll begin on Wednesday 8^th June and run through to Wednesday 13^th July between 3.30 and 4.30 each week at St. Mary’s School in Mellor. Then, because our children will have moved on into different secondary schools we’re going to have two additional sessions, on Friday 30^th September and on Friday 28^th October between 7.30pm and 9pm in St. Mary’s Church, as a refresher and final preparation for the Confirmation Service which will be on Sunday 6^th November.

Further information will be ready by the start of the Summer Term and will be in our two schools and also available in church.

Any adults who have not been confirmed and would like to talk informally about what’s involved for them, should speak with me over the next couple of months.

I’ve already put in a request for things to return to what we regard as normal for next year - we should know by the beginning of the new school year.
