Autumn Fayre

Post date: Nov 20, 2009 5:28:04 PM

The annual Autumn Fayre was held in the Day School on Saturday, 14th November 2009 from 11.00am - 1.00pm.

Our Priest-in-Charge, the Rev'd Paul Rolfe opened the Fayre and after expressing his thanks to the stall holders etc, encouraged

everyone to 'dig deep and spend, spend, spend !'.

The event was well supported by the parents of the Day School children who were anxious to meet Father Christmas face to face and receive an early present.

The Cafe was very busy serving the ever popular Hot Pot with a variety of cakes with tea/coffee.

In next to no time the stalls were looking sparse as customers obeyed Paul and bought up all the delightful items on offer from, sweets, cakes, cards, gifts, plants, fruit, books, objets d'art . . . . and of, course, the ubiquitous cuddly toy !

Thank you to everyone who worked so hard before, during and after the event. The Fayre would not be the success

it is without a lot of planning and preparation or without all the stall holders, raffle ticket sellers, ladies busy in the kitchen and entrance money collectors working so hard on the day and not forgetting Father Christmas for taking time to visit us.

A special thanks also to Paul for opening it and our Sunday School Queen, Emma Dewhurst for presenting the flowers.
