Invitation to Christingle

Please join us for this lovely All Age Worship service.

Celebrate the birth of Christ, the Light of the World with family and friends.

Fill a Christingle collection candle and your donations will help children in the North West who are in need.

Bring your collection candle to the service and exchange it for your Christingle.

Collection candles available from church or via the letter sent through school.


ANNOUNCEMENT

An announcement was made at the 9.30am service on Sunday 25th November that the Rev’d Charles D Jefferson is to resign as Priest of the United Benefice of Balderstone, Mellor and Samlesbury.


His last service will be held on Sunday 16th December..


St Mary's needs You!

St Mary's is looking for someone with basic IT skills who can spare half an hour a week to put the weekly information regarding services, dates for upcoming events etc into the format published on the back of the weekly notice sheet.


If this is something you feel you can help with and would like more information please talk to a member of the PCC. Their names are listed inside the front cover of the magazine.

As I am sure we all are very saddened and shocked to hear about the death of a dear friend and important part of our church community Lorna. We are all joined In sending our condolences and love out to Tom and all the family.

Lornas funeral  is to be held on Thursday 22nd November at 12 noon.

 

                HELP

           Is there anyone out there who has about 30 minutes a week free and has access to a computer? Would you be willing to take on editing the service sheet on a weekly basis. Clare only took this on as a temporary measure but her time is very stretched and just can’t commit any longer. If you are interested please can you speak to any pcc member.

Mellor St. Mary C. E. Primary School News

 

Year 6 would formally like to invite you to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the end of World War 1 at St Mary’s Church Remembrance Service starting at 9:30am.

Following the service, we will walk to the Mellor war memorial for 10:45am to take part in the act of Remembrance and the laying of wreaths.

We would also like to invite you back to Mellor St Mary CE Primary School for soup, a roll and commemoration activities including songs and displays.
