Please note that although churches may be opened for worship from the 2^nd December under Tier 3 government guidelines, the 6^th December will still be a Zoom service as Bishop Julian will be leading worship that Sunday.

Remembrance Sunday 8th November 2020

For obvious reasons, we could not arrange a remembrance service this year in Church or at the war memorial but 93year old Bill Thompson nevertheless wanted to read out the names of the fallen, so he decided to read them out at the war memorial on his own.

The Mayor of the Ribble Valley Stella Brunskill should have been presenting a Book of Remembrance

to St. Mary's Church.

United Benefice Services for September and October

Balderstone will be having a service at 09:30 each Sunday in church, except the 4^th and 25^th October when there will be no church service – see UB Zoom services below. Church services will be communion.

Mellor will be continuing with their 4pm service every Sunday in church throughout September and October – all services will be communion

Samlesbury will be having a service at 11:00 each Sunday in church, except the 13^th September (we cannot hold a service due to a wedding on the 12^th) and the 4^th & 25^th October when there will be no church service – see UB Zoom services below. All church services will be communion with the exception of the 6th September, which will be Morning Praise.

There will be a UB Zoom service at 10:00 on Sunday 4^th October celebrating Harvest and led by Pam Daunton and then the last Sunday in October (25^th) there will be a UB Zoom service at 10:00 led by Rev. Sam Cheesman (Bishop Julian’s Chaplain).
