Welcome to St. Mary's Sunday School.

We are proud to have a friendly Sunday School at St. Mary's, where our children are cherished and nurtured, and able to explore and question their faith in safe surroundings.

About Us.
Sunday School meets each Sunday during term time, from 10.20a.m. to 11.40a.m. in the school hall on Brundhurst Fold. Any child is very welcome to join us  from the age of three years. We usually attend church and lead the All Age Worship Service one Sunday a month
What we Do
The children are 'taught' together in one group. The children quickly get to know their teachers and classmates well. The youngest children also benefit from the input of our 'Young Helpers' - the oldest Sunday School children helping with the youngest.
Each meeting we have communal worship in the hall, with songs and prayers and a thought about the mornings lesson. We then move to our activity area, teaching God's Word in a fun way, using crafts, stories and games.
There's More!
Sunday School's main event of the year in the Crowning of the Rose Queen and Walking Day. All the different groups within our church family join together as the Rose Queen is crowned for an afternoon of  fellowship and a fun disco in the evening.
There is a prizegiving in church each year, rewarding the children for their attendance at Sunday School.
The children perform a Nativity play and are regularly involved in other special services in church.
Teachers arrange an 'old fashioned' party at Christmas, and a summer picnic for the children.
And these are just the things I can think of now........... I'm sure there's more!
Teachers
We have a team of 6 teachers, all of whom are parents and active members of the church. We see it as a great privilege to have your children with us, sharing in our journey in faith. Each of our students is thought of as a gift from God to our Sunday School.
Don't be shy, give us a try, drop in any Sunday for a warm welcome.
