Tuesday - 10.00am to 11.30am Coffee Morning in the Narthex | NEWS A Musical Concert is to take place in church at 7.00 pm on Saturday 7th September, entitled ‘Some Enchanted Evening’- an evening of music with favourites from the shows, musical theatre, the American songbook, opera and much more. The concert is to raise money for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (‘NICU’) at Burnley General Teaching Hospital’ where Gemma (Geoff and Sue Gill’s daughter) and Laurence’s baby Alex was treated in the first two weeks of his life. His Nana, Eileen, is organising the event and is calling upon some excellent singers she has used in previous events she has masterminded. | Recycling Jewellery – Emma Hilton has left a box in the Narthex for the collection of any unwanted jewellery/beads which she will use to decorate bottles. Please help support her. Mellor Village Show on Sunday, 1st September 2 pm to 4 pm in Mellor Village Hall. Refreshments available. Adults £1. Children free. St Mary's Church was consecrated on 15th September 1829. So, at the Family Service the Social and Fund Raising Committee is planning a celebration with ...A 190th Birthday Party....for all the family. Watch this space for more news !!
