NEWS

'Little Angels'

We supported the Church Roof Appeal by raising £250 from the sale of the DVD and proceeds from the raffle.  Thank you for your generous support by donating prizes and buying tickets.

 

 

Book of Recipes and Household Hints

We have now received several items for inclusion and are hoping to have received all by the end of July at the latest, so that we can start to compile the book. Please leave your favourite recipes in the box in the foyer.  Thank you.

DATES FOR YOUR DIARY

Tuesday 9 July ‘Have you been served?’, talk by Mrs Marjorie Holt to Mothers’ Union at 7.30 pm in the Day School.  Everyone is welcome to this open meeting to raise money for the Church Roof Appeal.  A hot supper will be served.  Tickets cost £5 and are available from Pam Jackson, Hilda Hilton, and Margaret Ashton.

Friday 19 July The Annual Village BBQ will be held this year at Myre Ash House by kind permission of Alan & Maureen Bell.  Tickets, priced at £12.50, are available from any member of the Social & Fundraising Committee.  If anyone has a tent or gazebo that we can borrow for the event, we would be very pleased to hear from you.  Debbie, Jean, Rita, and Sonia.

 

 

Thursday 10 October The consecration of Archdeacon Julian as Bishop of Blackburn will be held at York Minster.

Saturday 19 October The inauguration of Archdeacon Julian as Bishop of Blackburn will be held at 11am in Blackburn Cathedral.  More details of both events will be announced when they are available.
