Thursday 26 September The World's Largest Coffee Morning in aid of McMillan Nurses will be held in Mellor Village Hall from 'early' until 12 noon.



The Special Village Quiz held on Friday 13 September raised £729 for the Appeals Fund.  Many thanks to all who helped and supported us.  Special thanks to Rev’d John Hartley who was our quizmaster for the event, in Roland's absence.




Thursday 3 October 7.30 pm We have been invited to a Harvest Festival Service, followed by a Potato Pie and Apple Pie Supper, at St. Leonard's Balderstone.  Please add your name to the list in the narthex if you would like to attend.

Friday 4 October Mellor Young Musicians and The Jam Factory Throughout the Spring and Summer, the members of our school orchestra along with some former pupils,  have been working extremely hard for a joint performance with The Jazz Community Orchestra; The Jam Factory.  This will take place at 7.30 pm at The Canberra Club (Samlesbury Sports and Social Club) based at BAE, Samlesbury.  Tickets are on sale from school and are priced at £5.00 for adults and £1.00 for children. Proceeds will be divided between Mellor Church Roof Appeal and the Jam Factory.  I am sure that this will be an exciting evening taking you on a musical journey around the globe, and your support in coming to watch us would be very much appreciated, Chris Taylor.


Tuesday 8 October Mothers' Union Autumn Meal at Beeston Manor A coach will be leaving church at 6.30pm.  Would all interested please see Rita.

Thursday 10 October The consecration of Archdeacon Julian as Bishop of Blackburn will be held at York Minster.

Friday 18 October ‘Last Night of the Proms’ in Church, in support of the Church Roof Appeal.

Saturday 19 October The inauguration of Archdeacon Julian as Bishop of Blackburn will be held at 11 am in Blackburn Cathedral.  Unfortunately only one seat is available at this service for a representative of each parish. If you would like to go please sign the list in the narthex by Sunday 6 October and, in the interests of fairness, a name will be drawn at random.
