DATES FOR YOUR DIARY

Saturday 7 September 10.00 – 3.30 pm.  ‘How to Train the New Vicar!’  United Benefice Away Day at St Cuthbert's Church, Fulwood.  All welcome!  However experienced a priest might be there is still a lot to learn especially when there are three churches to look after! The day is designed so that each of the three churches can say who they are, what they hope for, and how that will benefit the churches and Amma Sue.  No-one is put 'on the spot' or is expected to make speeches, and everyone can join in! The day will be led by Rev’d Richard Impey, a very experienced trainer and looks set to be an enjoyable and informative 'day out'!

Friday 13 September A special Autumn Quiz is to be held in aid of the Church Repairs Appeal. Tickets will be £5 each and include Hot Pot Supper; there will be a Bar and a raffle. Tickets available from any Committee member.

Friday 4 October 7.00 for 7.30 pm. A Fund Raising Dinner for the Church Roof Appeal is to be held at the Millstone Hotel.  The theme will be ‘A Lancashire Night’ and the cost will be £20 for Lancashire Hot Pot, apple pie and coffee.  Guest speaker and raffle.  Anyone interested please contact Geoff Peake, tel. 813654.  A few good raffle prizes would be appreciated.

Thursday 10 October The consecration of Archdeacon Julian as Bishop of Blackburn will be held at York Minster.

Friday 18 October ‘Last Night of the Proms’ in Church, in support of the Church Roof Appeal.

Saturday 19 October The inauguration of Archdeacon Julian as Bishop of Blackburn will be held at 11am in Blackburn Cathedral.  More details will be announced when they are available.
