NEWS

Harvest Parcels Thank you to everyone who helped with the harvest parcels last Sunday and Monday. If you feel you could help next year we would appreciate a few more helpers to distribute these.  Thank you.  Sonia Tipper.

Fund Raising Dinner The fund raising dinner at the Millstone on Friday 4 October raised £1160. A sincere thank you to all those who supported the event and helped in any way.  Geoff Peake.

United Benefice Away Day Report - 3 copies of the report are now available at the back of church for people to read. Please feel free to take a report but do return it as soon as possible so that others may also read it.

An Evensong Adventure By now you will know that the collection box fixed to the wall inside Church was stolen during Evensong on 6 October.  Despite the best efforts of our fearless Churchwarden Graham, the thief made good his escape. The Police have been informed and as a precaution we plan to lock the main front door once the Evensong service has begun in future, so if you plan to be there - do come in good time! Every cloud has a silver lining, and the following Monday a very kind visitor to our village, who, having witnessed Graham's sterling efforts, left a donation of £20 for church funds to go some way towards making up the loss of the box. The milk of human kindness still runs strong despite all.  Amma Sue.
