NEWS
Easter Lilies
If anyone wishes to
donate a lily in memory of a loved one at Easter, please let Joan
Moss have your donation before Easter. Also there are two weeks this year
without any donator for altar flowers: they are 1 July and 14 August. If anyone wishes to have these weeks please
contact Joan.
Annual Churchyard Spring Clean
Monday 4 April starting
at 6.00 pm. Once again it’s time for
the annual churchyard spring clean to remove the dead leaves, broken branches
and the general litter that has accumulated over the winter months. If you are able to spare an hour or two
that evening it would be really appreciated as the more helpers there are, the
easier is the task. Please bring
garden rakes and wheelbarrows if you have them.
Vestry and Annual Parochial Church Meeting
The meetings for the
election of churchwardens, PCC members and sidespersons will take place in church
after morning service
|
on Sunday 17
April. Everyone is welcome to attend and all those on the Electoral
Roll are eligible to vote. Nomination
forms and the agenda are in the narthex.
Could all the people who produce annual reports kindly put them on the
notice board when ready or pass them to Jim for display. Thank
you.
FOSMS News
Please support FOSMS Easter fundraising and
purchase tickets for the Easter raffle.
There are amazing prizes to be won, including a BMX bike, a chocolate
hamper etc. The draw will be made in school on Thursday 24 March. Another fundraising activity is Bags 2
School; Stewart Woodward has placed the large plastic bags at the back of the
church along with a clipboard. If you could fill a bag with any
unwanted clothes or shoes, that would be most helpful. Please indicate
via the clipboard your name and address so that Stewart can arrange
collection. All the bags are then collated and weighed; the higher the
weight the more money we raise.
