Annual Churchyard Clean-up will be held on Monday 23 March starting at 6.00 pm. If you are able to spare an hour or two that evening it would be really appreciated as the more helpers there are, the easier is the task. Please bring garden rakes and wheel barrows if you have them. Once the clean-up has been done the mowers can start their summer grass cutting which makes the churchyard look so much neater. Again if anyone can spare an hour or so on Monday evenings through the summer to help Chris and his team with this work, it would again be very much appreciated.

The Choir is recruiting! We are looking for trebles (boys and girls), sopranos, altos, tenors and basses. Please talk to Mike Wilcock, the Organist and Choirmaster for further details. We practice on Wednesdays from 7 – 8 pm.

FOSM’s News Our Easter raffle is a great fundraising event for FOSMS: this year our star prize is a Mongoose bike with helmet, second prize is a £50 voucher for the Chill Factore, third prize is a chocolate hamper and fourth prize is the all-important Easter egg!  Tickets are £1 each and will be distributed through the children’s reading packs.  The raffle will be drawn in school on Thursday 26 March.

Please could you save the date of Friday 24 April as we will be holding an 80’s themed family disco.  Tickets are £10 which admits up to 2 adults & 3 children.  There will be a licensed bar, snacks and a retro sweet stall!  Further details to follow.

Wednesday 18 March This year the Lent Study will be held jointly with Mellor Methodist Church.  Titled "Magnificent Jesus" it will be a bible study looking at Jesus' "I Am" sayings in John's Gospel.  Meetings will be on Wednesdays in Lent starting at 7.15pm at Mellor Methodist Church and will be jointly led by Rev’d. Albert Gayle, Rev’d Geoffrey Peddie and Amma Sue.  This is a wonderful opportunity to study God's word in company with

our Christian brothers and sisters from the other churches in our

United Benefice so please do make it a firm date in your diary.

Don't worry if you can't make all the meetings - just come to as many as you can! There's a poster at the back of church and in the porch with all the details.
