Other News

For today’s Confirmation Service we also welcome  candidates from St Leonard the Less, Samlesbury, All Saints, Pendleton in Whalley and Christ Church, Fulwood.

Christian Aid – Thank you very much to all the Christian Aid helpers.  We have raised £935 this year.

What do we come to church for?  This is a very important question which as individuals we need to address.

Yes we come to be with friends and to meet them, but uppermost in our minds has to be that we are here to give thanks to God for that goes on in our lives, and to meet Him in the sacrament.

Please would you remember that others around you like to be quiet and still and not hear others’ conversations.  This applies not only before the start of worship but also especially following communion.  This is a time for reflection and to sing the communion hymn.  There is plenty of time at the end of the worship to catch up with friends.

THANK YOU.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Fr Roland
